This number may have even climbed up to a million during some periods. Even some regular citizens were forced to help build the wall since there was such a desperate need for labor.

How Materials were Moved.
Due to no availability of technology to move the materials some of the stone were moved by labour. It took so much time for transportation.
Wheelbarrows were the pathway for transportation.so many heavy animals were taken for transportation.
They used basket to move the materials and also they used rolling timbers.
Many dynasties for centuries been a small repair. The Great Wall that will most benefit them repaired sections of the dynasties was not for the good work.
Great Wall to produce many different types of materials and had a couple of new ways that was a massive effort. It is a modern miracle.
