When was the great wall of china built?


The construction and reconstruction are spread over several centuries. Great Wall construction around 220 BC BC began. Until 1500, it was created on and off for many centuries.
How it was Made.

In the Qin Dynasty, the wall was made by several methods. Workers will put down a thick layer of raw land. This was used as a base type. In addition, they will be placed in a layer of silt and clay, known as the Loess. The Foundation was created, it was used to build the wall of the living earth.

To create a live wall means, workers filled the land with wooden frame and the foundation was laid. A break for them until it was too fragile. It is a thin layer of compacted clay. They are the last to be placed on all levels. Fragments of stone and other debris were added to the wall to try and get even stronger.

It was a long process.

There were different ways to build the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty. Such as kilns to make bricks for building strong had better technique. They crashed earthen wall of the building and the wall can be used as the innermost layer. Then methodically put them together in the outer layer would use bricks and stones. They were made of rice and lime mortar for bricks was special.

This method made a wall that was many times stronger.




Why was the great wall built?

The great was of china was built to save their state and king from Mongolian enemy. It was built to slow down the speed of enemy or stop them.

Who built it?

Convicts, forced laborers, and soldiers all contributed to its construction. Hundreds of thousands of people helped build the wall. This number may have even climbed up to a million during some periods. Even some regular citizens were forced to help build the wall since there was such a desperate need for labor.

Approximatly it took 500,000 people to build the Great wall of china.



How Materials were Moved.

Due to no availability of technology to move the materials some of the stone were moved by labour. It took so much time for transportation.

Wheelbarrows were the pathway for transportation.so many heavy animals were taken for transportation.

They used basket to move the materials and also they used rolling timbers.

Many dynasties for centuries been a small repair. The Great Wall that will most benefit them repaired sections of the dynasties was not for the good work.

Great Wall to produce many different types of materials and had a couple of new ways that was a massive effort. It is a modern miracle.
