Shah Jahan was lover of monuments and his one of the best monument is The TAJ MAHAL. The completion of Taj Mahal took 22 years included the efforts of many world class designers and around 20,000 labours. The construction of beauty started at 1631 and finished at 1653.

The Site for Taj Mahal

The site for Taj Mahal was decided to be along the river Yamuna which increased the beauty of the beauty and main advantage was that it was visible from King’s palace at Agra.

The Construction

While work started around 3 acres of land were excavated so it can be filled to reduce the seepage and level was done around 50 meters above the riverbank. Architectural Details

The Town of Taj Ganj
